Safety First
One of the unique qualifications of Clark Pacific is that we engineer, fabricate and install our products with in-house personnel. We do not subcontract out any of these items. This gives us tremendous control over schedules, quality, and, most importantly, safety.
PROMOTING A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Clark Pacific places a high value on safety. When it comes to safety we believe it begins from the earliest design stages through production to project delivery and final turnover. Clark Pacific's ultimate goal is to have all employees returning home safely to their families.
Our safety program is managed by a full-time, Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP), who reports directly to senior management and oversees all safety, environmental, and health matters.
On our jobsites, the Project Manager and Project Foreman are responsible for safety compliance and successful implementation of our safety policies which include pre-lift erection planning, standard personal protective equipment including 100% eye protection, and weekly jobsite safety meetings.
Senior management at Clark Pacific regularly reviews safety performance data and has enacted a safety incentive/bonus program for employees and supervisors who work safely. The success of the program can be measured by the results produced, which includes an Experience Modifier of below 1.00 and a total incident rate and loss time incident rates below the national averages for our industry.
Our program has garnered numerous safety awards over the years, including recognition by PCI for our Sacramento and Fontana facilities tying for first place in 2010 as the safest plants in the industry!
EXPERIENCE MODIFICATION RATE (EMR)
EMR is one key performance indicator of a well-run company and an effective safety program and effort to keep safety at the forefront of everyone's mind. Clark Pacific has a current EMR* rating of 0.67 (through 2012), which means that Clark Pacific's relative safety rating is better than the national average of 1.00 - as it has been for many years running.
