Our Commitment Workplace Safety

Safety First

One of the unique qualifications of Clark Pacific is that we engineer, fabricate and install our products with in-house personnel. We do not subcontract out any of these items. This gives us tremendous control over schedules, quality, and most importantly safety.

Promoting a Safe Work Environment

Clark Pacific’s number one priority is the safety of our crew and teams that work with us at the plant and at job sites.  We constantly strive to promote a safe work environment and are dedicated to implementing workplace safety programs. We have full time safety personnel and Clark Pacific participates in voluntary OSHA inspections on a regular basis. Our program has garnered 24 safety awards over the last three years, including one for going over 1,000,000 man hours without a loss-time accident.

Experience modification rate (EMR)

Clark Pacific has a current EMR* rating is 0.65 (through 2010), which means that Clark Pacific's safety rating is better than the national EMR contractor average of 1.00. Our low EMR is evidence of our ongoing effort to implement an effective safety plan. Below are our EMRs from the most recent years.:

2009: 0.82

2008: 0.55

2007: 0.55

*EMR - EMR is the acronym for Experience Modification Rate. The EMR is a factor that reflects the safety record for a company and is applied to a company's insurance premium. A lower EMR rating means fewer accidents and a lower cost for insurance.
