Mechanical Platform
Prefabricated Chiller Support System, Accelerating Construction Schedules an Additional 4-8 Weeks.
Clark Pacific’s prefabricated Mechanical Platform is designed to complement our total prefabricated solution for data center structure and enclosure. By incorporating the Mechanical Platform into the scope, it further accelerates the construction schedule and streamlines chiller installation.
Engineered to replace traditional structural steel framing systems, the platform offers an efficient, single-source solution.

Advantages of a Clark Pacific Data Center
Accelerated Project Delivery
Offsite construction can deliver projects between 30 and 50 percent faster than traditional methods. Manufacturing of the structure occurs simultaneously with the site and foundation work. Schedule delays due to weather and other external factors are significantly reduced since a majority of the construction takes place in a controlled environment.
To further accelerate the construction schedule, Clark Pacific can prefabricate the generator shed and mechanical platform.
CARBONSHIELD® is a unique and proprietary concrete mix developed by Clark Pacific that provides the same performance as traditional mixes and is standard in our structural products.
It replaces 25% of the portland cement in our concrete mixes, reducing embodied carbon by roughly 20%. Our goal is double this by 2030, through our continuous R&D efforts and material partnerships.
Resilient Structure
In critical applications where continuous operation is imperative, the choice of materials is crucial. Data centers require resiliency and durability; precast stands out as the ideal solution.
- Entire structure is a 2-hour UL fire resistant rating
- Wind disaster resistant
- Excellent seismic performance
- Durable materials that stand the test of time
We are changing the game when it comes to data center construction
How We Demonstrate Sustainability Everyday
Zero waste operations
Our facilities drive toward zero waste by responsibly diverting 100% of metal, wood and concrete scraps from landfill.
Renewable energy-powered operations
100% of our electricity is sourced from a 2MW solar farm expansion and renewable grid procurement in Woodland, CA, with a 1MW farm planned for Adelanto.
Green Fleet
In a commitment to “green our fleet”, our Woodland plant uses an Orange EV pure electric terminal tractor in place of a traditional diesel-fueled yard truck. Over its lifespan, it reduces emissions equivalent up to 2,500 tons CO2.
Buying Local
Whenever possible, local suppliers are our preference in materials acquisition, ensuring the least amount of carbon impact in transportation of materials.
Concrete Recycling
All coarse or fine concrete aggregates remaining from batch processing are reclaimed and recycled, eliminating concrete waste.
Water
Any water not consumed in the prefabricated concrete batch process is recycled and re-used.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does “total precast” mean for a data center? What’s included?
Clark Pacific’s “total precast” solution is a kit-of-parts approach that can include the primary structure (columns, beams, floor systems), the insulated wall enclosure, and supporting infrastructure components like mechanical platforms, generator buildings, and vertical circulation elements—all coordinated as a single package to reduce trade interfaces.
Can a precast data center structure support high-density/AI loads (white space floor loading)?
Clark Pacific’s total precast
Can precast handle heavy roof loads and large mechanical penetrations?
Yes. Structural precast framing can be engineered for high roof live loads from air handlers, exhaust, yard steel, and snow, as well as large roof and wall penetrations for intakes, circulation, and cable pathways. Coordination is done utilizing BIM so that large roof and wall penetrations are provided without field improvisation. For future flexibility, reserved knockouts or framed openings are pre-designed into the panels.
Why choose precast concrete for a data center shell instead of tilt-up or steel?
Precast offers speed, repeatability, and quality control because the structure and envelope are manufactured in a plant while the site is being prepared. This shortens the critical path, improves schedule certainty, and reduces rework. The system delivers inherent fire resistance, durability, and physical security. Thermal mass and tight tolerances support energy performance, and panels can arrive with insulation, reveals, finishes, and embedded hardware already in place. Compared with tilt-up, precast is not constrained by site pour limits or weather windows. Compared with steel, it avoids field fireproofing and reduces maintenance at the envelope.
Can Clark Pacific deliver rooftop mechanical platforms for the support of chiller yards over the data center?
Yes. Clark Pacific has developed prefabricated
