Clark Pacific is supporting the development of a state-of-the-art cancer treatment center jointly led by Stanford Health Care and Sutter Health in Oakland, California (Stanford Medicine and Sutter Health to jointly provide cancer care for patients and families in the East Bay | News Center). Located just north of Downtown Oakland, the 170,000-square-foot, seven-story facility is designed to serve as a comprehensive hub for cancer care, offering services from early screening through recovery.
The medical center will house a wide range of specialized treatment areas, including an infusion center, outpatient operating rooms, and radiation therapy facilities. This joint effort between two of California’s leading healthcare providers reflects a growing demand for integrated, patient-centered care environments.
Clark Pacific manufactured and installed 63,131 square feet of prefabricated facade systems, including 49,380 square feet of custom GFRC frames and 13,751 square feet of punched window units. The project features two colors of GFRC with painted GFRC frames and 2,133 square feet of form liner detail to achieve its distinctive architectural appearance. Additionally, this job includes 13,751 sqft of punched windows that were installed into the facade panels during manufacturing. Spray foam insulation was applied at the plant to enhance energy efficiency, while intumescent paint was applied on-site for added fire protection.
Additional scope elements included firesafing, seismic joints, field-applied sealants, prewelded connections, and cast-in-place embeds with deck notching for seamless structural integration.
