Supporting Next-Generation Data Centers

  • Customizable Grids: Beam profile and spacing accommodates most chiller models giving the owner flexibility to procure different chillers late in the manufacturing phase, even allowing for future replacements without modifying the underlying support.

  • Load Capacity: Standard Configuration supports chiller, tanks and other equipment with weights up to 40,000 lbs. Design can be customized to accommodate more challenging equipment configurations.

  • Integration: Fully compatible with Clark Pacific’s structural system, ensuring durability, longevity, and seamless integration with the overall project.

Elevated Mechanical Platform vs. At-Grade Mechanical Yard

AccelDeck™ moves chillers and primary distribution above the data center, keeping grade-level circulation, walls, and site perimeter clean. The prefabricated platform organizes routing, access, embeds, and equipment support into one repeatable system for faster, more predictable installation.

OR

Traditional at-grade chiller yards consume valuable site area and crowd the perimeter with exposed equipment, piping, headers, and field-built steel. These systems increase trade coordination, constrain access and laydown, and reduce flexibility for generators, electrical yards, and future expansion.

Engineered to replace traditional structural steel framing systems, the platform offers an efficient, single-source solution.

Frequently Asked Questions - Clark Acceldeck™

Yes. Clark Pacific has developed prefabricated rooftop mechanical platform as a part of its standard “kit of parts”. This platform is coordinated with the building’s structural grid and is supported by the same columns that support the floor and roof framing below.

Clark AccelDeck™ can be configured for 60-plus-foot clear spans for heavy mechanical loads when project geometry and loading criteria support it. Aligning spans and loading requirements early helps keep equipment zones open and can reduce the need for field-added secondary framing.

Embed and penetration locations, sizes, tolerances, and load ratings are set and approved during shop-drawing coordination before fabrication. This upfront definition gives the project team a higher-confidence installation package and reduces clashes in the field.

Clark AccelDeck can be planned with modular Day-1 and Day-2 penetrations and landing zones so future mechanical and electrical capacity can be added with less demolition or redesign. That makes future phases more deliberate and helps preserve schedule and constructability when additional infrastructure is needed.

Depending on project scope, Clark AccelDeck™ can incorporate factory-mounted embeds and plates for chillers, racks, AHUs, and power equipment; factory-cast raceway sleeves, conduit stub-ups, and cable-tray supports; plant-installed galvanized grating; and pre-installed embeds for guardrails, screens, and equipment attachment. Bringing these items into the plant reduces field layout and fit-up risk.

Yes. Rooftop mechanical systems and platforms can be designed to tie directly into the precast structural grid, so equipment supports, distribution zones, and perimeter support conditions are coordinated early in design.
