AccelShell™: A Prefabricated Insulated Wall Panel Solution for Faster Building Enclosure

AccelShell™ is Clark Pacific’s prefabricated insulated concrete wall panel solution. It combines a durable precast concrete exterior, continuous insulation and an interior concrete wythe in one factory-produced assembly. Configurable insulation, cladding or load-bearing options, and architectural finishes allow teams to align the wall system with the building’s performance and design requirements.

AccelShell™ is engineered and manufactured offsite and delivered ready for installation. This approach supports:

Parallel panel manufacturing and site work to support faster enclosure delivery

Fewer separate field-installed wall layers to coordinate

Factory-controlled production for consistent quality

Applications include data centers and mission-critical facilities, industrial and manufacturing buildings, warehouses, commercial buildings and institutional facilities. The panel configuration is adapted to each project’s structural requirements, thermal targets and architectural goals.

INSULATED WALL PANELS DESIGNED FOR BUILDING PERFORMANCE

CONTINUOUS INSULATION FOR PROJECT THERMAL TARGETS

Continuous insulation is incorporated directly into the prefabricated wall assembly. Insulation thickness can be adjusted based on required thermal performance, with typical AccelShell™ R-values ranging from R-15 to R-25.

This gives teams a way to address thermal targets within the panel design before manufacturing begins. The insulation and exterior finish can be selected together, allowing owners to pursue building performance requirements while designers develop the desired appearance.

DURABLE CONCRETE AND COORDINATED WEATHER PROTECTION

Precast concrete provides a durable exterior designed for long-term exposure. AccelShell™ combines that exterior with coordinated connections, joints, sealants, flashings and terminations to support weather protection and long-term building performance.

Standard detailing includes multiple sealant lines. Coordinating joint and flashing details with the panel assembly helps teams plan weather protection at connections and transitions. The complete enclosure depends on those details being specified and installed for the project’s requirements.

CLADDING OR LOAD BEARING TO FIT THE STRUCTURAL DESIGN

AccelShell™ can be configured for different roles within the building. Evaluating those options early allows the wall system and structural frame to be designed together.

CLADDING ATTACHED TO A SEPARATE FRAME

As a cladding system, AccelShell™ provides enclosure, insulation and exterior finish while attaching to a separate structural frame. This allows teams to use the insulated panel assembly with the building’s selected structural system and coordinate attachment points, openings and panel layouts before manufacturing.

LOAD BEARING WALLS INTEGRATED INTO THE STRUCTURE

In load-bearing configurations, AccelShell™ panels can be engineered to carry vertical and lateral loads as part of the building’s structural system. Combining enclosure and structural functions can reduce separate framing requirements. The final configuration depends on building loads, seismic requirements, connections, openings and project-specific engineering.

ARCHITECTURAL FINISHES WITHIN THE INSULATED PANEL SYSTEM

AccelShell™ panels are available with a range of colors, forms, textures and finish combinations, giving design teams flexibility to align the enclosure with the architectural vision of the project. The finish is coordinated as part of the factory-produced panel, reducing the need for separate exterior finish work onsite.

Explore the standard aesthetic options in the AccelShell™ Finishes Guide to align panel design, performance and appearance early in the project.

COORDINATED PANELS FOR FASTER ENCLOSURE DELIVERY

OPENINGS AND CONNECTIONS PLANNED BEFORE MANUFACTURING

AccelShell™ brings insulation, finishes, openings, connections and joint conditions into a coordinated panel design. Addressing those interfaces before manufacturing reduces decisions left for field installation and helps teams establish how the panels will connect to adjacent building systems.

Panels can be manufactured while foundations and other site activities progress, then delivered in a planned installation sequence. With more of the wall assembly completed offsite, installation can advance once the structure and site are ready to receive panels.

REPEATABLE DETAILS FOR MULTIPLE BUILDINGS

For phased developments, AccelShell™ supports repeatable panel configurations, connections and manufacturing processes. Teams can carry established details from one building to the next while adjusting insulation, finishes and structural requirements for each facility. That consistency helps owners plan enclosure delivery across a campus or portfolio.

ACCELSHELL™ FOR DATA CENTER ENCLOSURES

Data centers need an enclosure that can keep pace with structural construction and support long-term thermal and durability requirements. AccelShell™ can serve as a standalone enclosure solution or be coordinated with other prefabricated building systems.

When paired with AccelCore™, Clark Pacific’s prefabricated structural data center solution, AccelShell™ allows teams to coordinate structural grids, wall connections, openings and erection sequencing as part of the core and shell design.
