This new hospital project in San Francisco uses Integrated Lean Project Delivery (ILPD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to manage scheduling, reduce variation in the field, and test and evaluate innovative means of design and construction. The sustainable design features being implemented by Herrero/Boldt and the SmithGroup and Boulder Associates architectural firms will help Mission Bernal Campus Hospital achieve LEED® certification.
The five-story acute care hospital will include 120 licensed beds; medical, surgical and emergency departments; ICU and urgent care; and services for all ages, from pediatrics patients through seniors.
