The SOMA Grand is a 490,343 square-foot, 246-unit, mixed-use development consisting of two concrete towers and a 5-level above grade parking garage. The project features a fitness center, community room with kitchen, spa facility with a meditation garden, and an extensive amenity level with a pool, spas, a fire pit and heat lamps.
The structure is a type I construction (concrete framed with PT decks) with a precast concrete panel and glass skin. The lack of space on the site made it necessary to sequence the south tower section of the project to start before the north garage section.
