Total precast double-tee construction helped save more than four months in the delivery schedule for San Jose Airport's on-site consolidated rental car facility.
This landmark project is an important part of the recent expansion of the San Jose International Airport. Located on airport grounds, this new consolidated rental car facility and co-located "quick-turn-around" puts rental cars within convenient walking distance of the new terminals, and helped put San Jose ahead of its regional rivals in terms of on-airport services.
Double tee precast design and construction of this 2.2M SF structure greatly helped reduce congestion at the project site and save more than four months on the overall schedule. Double Tee construction benefits (cost and schedule) contributed to the financial success of the project as well - helping bring it in under its original budget of $270M.
Precast parking structures are efficient, economical environmentally friendly and structurally resilient.
