UC Berkeley Helen Diller Anchor House

Berkeley, CA

In an attempt to mitigate an overwhelming housing shortage for their students, the University of California, Berkeley opened the Helen Diller Anchor House Apartments in Fall of 2024.

Standing 14 stories high, the Anchor House will be the first and only housing building exclusively for UCB transfer students. The certified LEED Gold building will include 244 apartments with individual bedrooms for 722 students. Just one block from campus, Anchor House will meet the university’s critical student housing needs.
