ACCELCORE™: Prefabricated Data Centers Built for Speed and Scale

AccelCore™

AccelCore™ is Clark Pacific’s prefabricated concrete structural and enclosure solution for data centers. Its pre-designed kit of parts combines long spans, heavy-load capacity and coordinated equipment interfaces with offsite manufacturing. For owners and developers, these features support flexible equipment layouts, faster construction and a system that can be repeated across a campus.

Clark Pacific brings design, structural engineering, manufacturing and installation together around that product, helping teams address the building’s performance requirements and delivery strategy before manufacturing begins.

STRUCTURAL CAPACITY FOR DENSER DATA CENTERS

As server and equipment loads increase, the structure needs to support greater weight while preserving usable space. AccelCore™ addresses both requirements through its floor-loading capacity and long-span structural planning.

LONG SPANS AND HEAVY LOAD SUPPORT

AccelCore™ can accommodate spans of more than 60 feet and a typical 42-foot by 60-foot grid at 400 psf floor loading, with live-load capacity up to 600 psf, subject to project-specific engineering. Longer spans can reduce interior columns, giving teams more open white space for equipment layouts. The load capacity helps owners plan for denser equipment and evolving infrastructure requirements.

The system also supports multi-story data center configurations, allowing structural layouts and equipment needs to be evaluated together as part of the building design.

COORDINATED INTERFACES THAT REDUCE FIELD WORK

Equipment connections and penetrations can add complexity when they are resolved after the structure is designed. AccelCore™ incorporates these interfaces into the product’s design and manufacturing process, helping reduce field modifications and late coordination.

INTEGRATED EMBEDS AND CONNECTIONS

Connections and embeds for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and IT equipment can be manufactured directly into the structural and enclosure components. Coordinating openings, attachment points and equipment interfaces before manufacturing begins gives installation teams planned locations for their systems and reduces work that would otherwise be completed in the field.

KNOCKOUTS FOR EVOLVING INFRASTRUCTURE

Standard knockouts in walls provide planned locations for cable, utilities, intake and exhaust penetrations. This allows teams to move structural manufacturing forward while certain infrastructure requirements are still being finalized. Planned penetration locations also provide flexibility for future changes, subject to structural review and project requirements.

A KIT OF PARTS THAT SUPPORTS FASTER DELIVERY

AccelCore™ starts with pre-designed components engineered to work together. Teams can develop the building around an established structural and enclosure system, reducing the need to design each facility from the ground up.

OFFSITE MANUFACTURING AND PARALLEL SITE WORK

Structural and enclosure components are manufactured in a controlled environment while site and foundation work progress. Components then arrive in a planned erection sequence. This parallel workflow reduces the amount of sequential construction required onsite and limits exposure to weather and trade stacking, helping owners move toward an enclosed building sooner.

Clark Pacific’s Full Structural Prefabricated Data Centers webinar explores how this approach applies to mission-critical projects.

A REPEATABLE PRODUCT FOR CAMPUS GROWTH

For owners planning multiple facilities, AccelCore™ provides a common product platform that can carry forward across buildings and phases. Its kit of parts allows teams to repeat structural grids, connections and coordinated interfaces while adapting the design to each site and its equipment requirements.

That product-based approach supports scale: teams can apply lessons from one facility to the next, refining manufacturing, logistics and erection rather than starting over with each building.

Within Clark Pacific’s broader prefabricated data center portfolio, AccelCore™ can be coordinated with AccelShell™ insulated wall panels and AccelDeck™ mechanical platforms. Evaluating those interfaces early helps teams align the building structure, enclosure and equipment supports with the campus delivery plan.

LOWER EMBODIED CARBON WITH CARBONSHIELD®

AccelCore™ also supports sustainability goals through CARBONSHIELD®, Clark Pacific’s proprietary concrete mix used as standard in its structural products. By replacing a portion of portland cement, the mix reduces embodied carbon while maintaining the performance of traditional mixes. Combined with controlled manufacturing and concrete and batch-water recycling, it gives owners ways to address material impacts as part of the structural solution. Project-specific mix designs and environmental data should guide carbon-reduction estimates.

PREFABRICATION AT HYPERSCALE

Clark Pacific’s mission-critical data center case study demonstrates this delivery approach across two hyperscale facilities in the Western United States. The projects delivered more than 1.5 million square feet of prefabricated concrete in approximately 10 months. At one three-story facility, Clark Pacific manufactured 3,096 structural components in 116 days.
